Can : Flow Motion - Remastered Edition (Free MP3) Vinyl LP

Can : Flow Motion - Remastered Edition (Free MP3) Vinyl LP

Remastered reissue of Flow Motion (Can's 8th studio album)! By the time Flow Motion came around in 1976, Can were already very well established in the krautrock scene having released their ground breaking works Tago Mago, Ege Bamyasi, and Future Days some years previously. The personnel had changed a bit on this album (Damo Suzuki isn't present for vocals) but it is still well worth investigating for its strange and funky, cooled-out grooves. "I Want More" opens up the album (and is probably the best known track off it) with an upbeat, almost disco rock feel, cheeky vocals, keyboards and all. If there's any track to play out on here, this is it (and the "And More" reprise). The rest of the album gets a lot more relaxed with a dub meets psych meets kraut rock feel. Check "Laugh Till You Cry," "Flow Motion" and "Babylonian Pearl" and see what I mean. Also check "Smoke" for some ritualistic tribal drumming magic. Comes in a nice replica of original pic sleeve. Recommended.
