Charli XCX: True Romance (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

Charli XCX: True Romance (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

First time on vinyl in 10+ years! Original Lab review from when we originally carried the record:

You've all heard Swedish electro-pop duo Icona Pop's 2012 global smash "I Love It" which was co-written by Charli XCX. In it she emphasizes a generational divide with the lyrics "You're from the 70s/ And I'm a 90s bitch." True Romance, Charli's debut album proper, is filled with hooks, bathed in updated electro pop sounds and dripping with lyrics about falling in and out of love. And there are those of you out there that are absolutely going to love it. I mean Pitchfork blessed True Romance with an 8.3! I remember when they were reviewing Papa M and Mountain Goats records and heaping praise on them. Not necessarily apples and oranges I guess, but you catch my drift.

  • first time on vinyl in 10+ years
  • silver colored vinyl
  • includes printed insert
  • limited edition
  • original release year: 2013
  • music label: Asylum Records 2023
