Daedelus: Of Snowdonia & Something Bells (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP

Daedelus: Of Snowdonia & Something Bells (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP

2004 long player from everyone’s fave dandy downtempo slinger, first time on wax! Alfred Darlington aka Daedelus released Of Snowdonia on Plug Research, and it eventually caught the attention of Ninja Tune, who signed him for 2005’s Exquisite Corpse. There’s a nice spread of styles and tempos on offer, from wooden house rhythms to glitchy big beat and uptempo drum & bass, all woven through with Dae’s majestic sampledelica and a touch of jazz. Head straight for “Something Bells” but also be sure to check out “A Sneaking Suspicion,” “Was Waiting,” “Scaling Snowdon” and “Overdressed.” This first-ever vinyl release tacks on the Something Bells EP for good measure, adding vocal versions of “Something Bells” and “Was Waiting” with raps by Busdriver and Pigeon John, plus an edIT remix of “Dumbfound” and Omid mix of “Something Bells” to sweeten the deal. Coke bottle clear colored double vinyl pressing.
