David Bowie: Heroes (180g) Vinyl LP

David Bowie: Heroes (180g) Vinyl LP

Twelfth studio album from legendary David Bowie. Heroes was originally recorded in 1977 with Brian Eno and Tony Visconti at the helm. It is the second installment in Bowie's lauded Berlin Trilogy. Bowie used much of the same personnel that recorded his previous album, Low. Drummer Dennis Davis, bassist George Murray, and guitarist Carlos Alomar provided a krautrock infused back drop for the synth wizardry of Eno and Bowie's own experimentation. The album is split into two parts with vocal tracks taking up the a side and largely ambient instrumentals on the flip. Further setting this album apart is the inclusion of King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp, whose signature fretwork is all over the album's standout moments. For many this album stands out as one of Bowie's great achievements. He was able to take the themes and experimentation of Low and merge them with some of his most emotive and expressive performances. Ten tracks in all. Released by Parlophone on 180 gram vinyl with printed inner sleeve.
