Debut album from Bobby Brown and crew! When Maurice Starr first discovered these teens at a talent show he felt it was the new edition of Jackson 5, hence the name NEW EDITION. Getting them signed with early electro, hip hop pioneer label Streetwise and into the studio with Michael Jonzun of the Jonzun Crew and Arthur Baker they quickly shot up the charts with first single 'Candy Girl'. 'Popcorn Love' and 'Oooh Baby' followed up with similar boogie funk street sounds. With the success of this album came the individual and group success of Bobby Brown and Bel Biv Devoe as all know ran the 80s into early 90s with New Jack Swing R&B fire. Faithfully reproduced in full color pic sleeve.
