The Detroit singer-songwriter released some obscure, but powerful psychedelic rock & soul back in the 70's and somehow, though a strange twist of fate, became a huge star in South Africa. Ultimately his music remained relatively unknown in America for years, despite reaching Beatles level fame in South Africa and becoming a huge inspiration for the Anti-Apartheid movement. This fascinating story was recently turned into the critically acclaimed film Searching For Sugar Man, and here we have the soundtrack comprised of select tracks from his first and second albums - Cold Fact and Coming From Reality.
