Skatebard: Conga Vinyl 12"

DJ Sotofett and DJ Fett Burger's Sex Tags Mania put out "Conga" in 2005, and the producer Bard Aasen Lodemel aka Skatebard, upon receiving the records (around 200 pressed up ), placed 10 copies at a local video rental store (LOL) in his hometown (Orsta, Norway). Only one copy was sold, and the record didn't fare any better at other outlets, forcing Bard/STM virtually giving out the remaining copies for free. Years pass, and with Sex Tags Mania's profile rising (the label was only about a year old in 2005) and consistant roatation of "Conga" from DJs, the price of the record sores; you'll find the og pressing listed for upwards of $200 on popular vinyl marketplaces. With that said, this is a very welcome repress, with Sex Tags Mania also celebrating its 15-year anniversary. Entirely produced on a laptop, Skatebard keys in on Chicago influences for the track—jacking 909 drums, strategically placed echo and reverb, and those good-ass organ hits… This one is for the dancefloors.
