The Faint: Danse Macabre (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

The Faint: Danse Macabre (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

Hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, The Faint began as post-hardcore shredders before (as Mr. Murphy says) selling their guitars and buying keyboards. Often lumped in with the post-punk revival of the early aughts, The Faint hew closer to Nine Inch Nails than the Human League.  Literal bleeps and bloops frolic over electroclash adjacent synth-bass riffs, crunchy chords and barefaced incantations. “Your Retro Career Melted” calls to mind the talk box jams from Neil Young’s Trans, while “Let The Poison Spill From Your Throat” is strangled keytar and trailblazing use of autotune. "Posed To Death" is an album and career highlight with oral and mechanical beatboxing over crunchy synth riffs. This record is pressed for the first time on 180g white vinyl, and is packaged in a gatefold jacket and printed inner sleeve. Please note that the tracks on this LP are in a different order than the CD and digital version.

  • first colored vinyl pressing for the 2001 album
  • pressed on heavyweight white vinyl
  • packaged in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeve
