The influential New Orleans band hit a peak with 1975's Fire On The Bayou, laying down some serious funk grooves from start to finish. Check the title track for a dose of pure N'awlins fonk, then dig into "Can You Do Without" with it's signature Meters' bassline, and "Running Fast" & "Love Slip Upon Ya" for some serious stanky face grooves. Don't sleep on the smoothed out "Middle Of The Road" too. Classic material from the brothers Neville and the gang. Heavyweight 180 gram pressing. Recommended.
