Yo La Tengo: Stupid Things (free MP3) 12"
Finally some new material from long time indie rock favorites Yo La Tengo! The Jersey-based band has been quiet since 2009's Popular Songs, and breaks the silence with "Stupid Things," a driving, semi-sweet track perfect for this fall weather we're having. The track appears here in a different version from the one that will appear on their forthcoming album in 2013, with different vocals and slightly different arrangement. The original vocal version is awesome, but it's really the 12 minute instrumental on the flip that really showcases the "fall sweater" moods complete with lovely guitar improvisations and sweet organ work. Also includes a randomly chaotic remix from EY3 of the Boredoms. Limited, numbered edition of 1500.
